How long is summer camp?

Summer Camp runs from June 17 - August 30, from 8:30am to 3pm. 

We offer a premium flexibility option to accommodate your summer schedule: You can use partial weeks / make some schedule changes with advance notice.

You can drop off early as well as enroll in our After Camp Program from 3-6 PM!


What does a day look like?

8:00 - 8:30 AM Early Drop Off / 8:30 - 9:00 AM REGULAR DROP OFF: Children engage in games, read, draw, get ready for their day.

9:00 - 9:15 AM:  MEET YOUR TEAM: Children meet their Coaches, friends and get settled in groups. Important check for sunscreen with parents, hats, use the restroom, fill water bottles

9:15 - 10:44 AM: (Action 1) FIELD GAMES - Games Outside with challenges incorporating balance.

10:45 - 11:00 AM: Snack time and FREE PLAY Outside

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: (Action 2) NINJA Obstacle Course

12:00 - 1:00 PM: Lunch and down-time choice activity

1:00 - 2:00 PM: (Action 3) Climbing

2:00 - 2:30 PM: (Action 4) Play with balance with obstacle props, create your own balances and share ideas with group

2:30 - 2:45 PM: GROUP DANCE PARTY!

2:50 - 3:00 PM: Clean up, pack up

3:00 PM: Pick up

AFTER CAMP -

3:05-6 PM: After Camp: Games, Action Choice and Projects.


What happens if it rains?

Rain or shine we are here to stay! Light rain and drizzle will not stop us from having fun! We do provide a series of fun indoor activities planned in the event of heavy rain, thunder, or lightning!


What type of snack do you provide?

We provide a healthy snack when needed for all children. This includes a package fruit/vegetable, and something crunchy. While we strive to provide snacks that are enjoyable for everyone we cannot guarantee snacks will always be kosher or gluten free. We are a NUT-FREE Camp.


Where is pickup and dropoff?

We offer two options: Drop off at our 130 Clinton Street location(limited to 8:30 AM - 8:45 AM) or One Brooklyn Bridge location (All Times). 

All late drop-offs taking place after 9:00 AM, are at One Brooklyn Bridge. 

A pre-selected drop-off location must be chosen through CampMinder Forms prior to the start of camp. All pickups at dismissal must take place at our One Brooklyn Bridge location. 


Campers will need to come to camp already in their swimsuits! They need an extra change of clothes in their backpack (shorts, shirt, underwear, socks, and shoes). Campers will play water based games and spend time at water play spaces in various park spaces!!

What happens on WATER DAY FRIDAYS at camp?


What should I pack for a day of camp?

To ensure your child has the best experience possible, we ask that you pack the following:  

  • A change of clothes

  • Water bottle

  • Packed lunch

  • Clothes for water fun

  • A towel

  • Sun protection (sunscreen, hats, visors, etc.)NOTE: Please apply sunscreen at home!


How can I request my child to be with another camper or be placed in a certain group? 

We require 48 hours advanced notice for any special group requests. Special accommodations must be a good fit for both the children and the staff at Everyday Athlete to ensure that correct age groups are assigned and that we are able to stay within our safe child:coach ratios. 


Will my child have the same coaches that coach Everyday Athlete After School?

Most of our summer camp coaches are Everyday Athlete veterans who regularly coach Everyday Athlete classes! We do bring in additional fantastic seasonal staff for summer camp. We hire educators, trainers, nurses and others who love to teach kids.


What kind of training do you provide for your seasonal staff?

We ensure that all of our coaches are CPR and CPR PRO certified in addition to being thoroughly trained in safety procedures!


What parks do you use during summer camp?

We maintain a great relationship with the local parks and have permits for each one of the areas of Brooklyn Bridge Park right outside our doors! Currently we use Piers 2, 3, 5, and 6 as well as other areas. Older kids will also travel locally to parks to Skateboards (when appropriate) or as a field trip. 


What if my child is sick?

Oh no! If your child has any infectious or contagious sickness, such as Conjunctivitis, Chicken Pox, Strep Throat, Lice, or a fever, they must wait 24 hours to return to Camp with a doctor's note or give us a call for clearance to participate. We do not credit or allow makeups for sick days. This is for the safety and health of our Campers!
